- Start early, lighting that fire in them for science; inspire confidence in students
- Bringing in speakers and role models to give accurate pictures of what does this job do
- Sending students to camps and workshops that are available
- Pointing out that career and marriage and motherhood are not mutually exclusive.
- Stress improved quality of life for self and children. If you are educated you will be a better parent.
- Collaboration will address resources, professional as well as funding – needed to implement these strategies
- Note that culture and ethnicity are not the same
