Kick-Off Conference
The Kick Off Conference was held on Monday, September 19, 2005, from 8:30 AM to 3 PM at The Science Place at Fair Park, Dallas, Texas. The goal of the conference was to create a strong network of leading organizations and influential individuals that supports girls to succeed in science, technology, engineering, and math (STEM) activities. Over 100 teachers, higher education faculty, and representatives from businesses, informal science organizations, and girl-serving organizations participated in a variety of activities designed to inform, inspire, and involve members of the newly formed collaborative.
