Captured Learnings from the Ring and String Activity
- Working together is more effective when everybody participates and communicates.
- Create opportunities for emerging leaders.
- It helps to look at and consult with others to see what they are doing.
- It helps to create a system regarding how we are going to go about our tasks.
- It helps to form new relationships to work together.
- We can maximize our resources by looking to see what each other can bring to the table.
- It helps for people to share ownership towards achieving the common goal.
- We learn our strengths as a group to help navigate towards the goal.
- It helps when we figure out our parameters, such as the lengths of our strings.
- Smaller groups work more easily.
- We worked better together once we had built trust within the group.
- The people closer to the wall gained permission to speak for the group because they had a better view of the goal.
- More people shared information when the tasks became more difficult.
- We got to experience what it was like to be up against a wall and then we picked up the slack.
