Water Guide
UNIT ONE - WATER IN OUR COMMUNITIES

Unit One Goal: The students will explore the nature of water in their area and its source and share their findings.


Objective four:
The students will be able to label the parts of the water cycle.
Time allowance for activities:
2-3 class periods
Materials:
paper, pencil, markers, crayons, picture of the water cycle

1. Discuss how the water cycle works.. LA 3.3C, 3.4A,
2. Make a wall mural depicting the parts of the water cycle. LA 3.12H, 3.16E
ART 3.2A, 3.2B
3. Encourage each child to draw his/her own water cycle to include in the Water Project book. ART 3.2A, 3.2B
4. In cooperative groups, have the students write short summaries of what they learned about the water cycle. This information can be shared via electronic mail in the module summary. TA 8A

Evaluation:

The students will be evaluated based upon the written summaries and their water cycle drawings. LA 3.4A
