Masters Across Technology
Teaching and Learning with Technology
Join the hundreds of professional educators taking advantage of the Master's Across Technology (MAT) initiative. The MAT initiative provides professional educators an innovative method for earning the University of North Texas (UNT) Computer Education and Cognitive Systems (CECS) Master's degree, Teaching and Learning with Technology.
MAT also offers the Technology Applications Certification Program for certified teachers who desire prepraratory courses for various State Board for Educator Certification (SBEC) technology Certification examinations but do not wish to pursue the master's degree. Initial TEacher certification is not available through MAT
All MAT participants are members of either a geographic or a virtual cohort group throughout their degree. Each geographic cohort includes seven face-to-face class meetings at a designated site with on-site UNT personnel to facilitate class delivery. Students may access the remaining course classes online at their own pace. Virtual cohorts are formed when geographic cohorts are unavailable. Virtual cohort members complete all course work online, with no face-to-face meetings.
