There will allways be a need for a "how to" however the teachers like it better when you make it relative to what they are doing in the classroom. For the past five years we have gone to a project based training. We group our sessions under 4 main topics: Multimedia ( Kidpix,Hyperstudio,Mpower...etc.) Web Pages, Desktop Publishing and Video. From there we branch out, overlap and relate it to the different subject areas. When teachers work on a project it allows for more discovery type learning and lots of hand on plus they have fun. Administrators also like it because the project serves as a measure for accountability. If you want more info contact me.
