Direct TEKS Connections
The Social Studies TEKS includes a strand entitled "Social Studies Skills" which states "the student applies critical-thinking skills to organize and use information acquired from a variety of sources including electronic technology."

Many  combinations of connections are possible that use technology to teach Social Studies. We encourage teachers to move beyond the direct mention of technology and make their own connections. The following table (Indirect TEKS Connection) illustrates one Social Studies student expectation that does not specifically mention technology but is easily accomplished using technology. Many others are possible.
