Curriculum Connections

Mathematics K-2

The connections listed in the first table (Direct TEKS Connections)  are Mathematics student expectations that directly mention the use of technology (or related terminology). Other resources for teaching Mathematics can be found at the Mathematics Center for Educator Development. off site
Direct TEKS Connections

The introduction to the Mathematics TEKS states that students are to use mathematical "processes together with technology ... to develop conceptual understanding and to solve problems as they do mathematics."

Many connections are possible that use technology to teach Mathematics. We encourage teachers to move beyond the direct mention of technology to make their own connections. The following table (Indirect TEKS Connection) illustrates one Mathematics student expectation that does not specifically mention technology but is easily accomplished with technology. Many others are possible.
