Post Cards

Students create postcards that highlight community landmarks or people.
Activities/Resources TEKS
Promotional material about your town is shown to the class. A discussion follows about places the students visit. Begin with familiar places including grocery stores, parks, banks, and the school. Each student (or in pairs) select a landmark they wish to highlight. The class examines several postcards and determines common features.
