| Promotional material about your town is shown to the class. A discussion
follows about places the students visit. Begin with familiar places including grocery
stores, parks, banks, and the school. Each student (or in pairs) select a landmark they
wish to highlight. The class examines several postcards and determines common features. Alternative(s): Highlight people from the school or community. Information about the landmark is gathered from appropriate sources (interviews, literature, etc.). | Images are used in a graphics, word processing, or desktop publishing program. A description of the image is included on the second side.
