Try rearranging the columns for a different look.  Remember that text blocks that overlap each other must be set to clear if the text is suppose to show through.  If not, leave it set to its default of white.

Create a newsletter
File/Create new publication
Choose blank page/full page
Create Header/border art
Format/border art
Choose style/size
Create columns for body of story
Click on A/click and drag box for size
Format/text frame properties/wrap around objects
Edit/copy text frame
Edit/paste text frame (twice)
Click on three dots at bottom of text block to spread text to next text block
Line up columns/group objects
Click on arrow/pointer on toolbar
Click and drag to box in both bullet text blocks
Arrange/line up objects
Choose top and bottom/top edges
Create text block with bottom line border inside large border art
Click on A/click and drag for text box size
Choose font style/size/boldface/center
Click in box/type
Arrange/send to front
Create pull quote
Click A/click and drag box for size
Click on line button on menu bar
Choose size and placement of lines
Create picture
Click on picture on toolbar
Click and drag box for size
Insert/clipart/choose/insert
Repeat for secondary article
Columns and headline
Create shaded text block
Format/fill color and shading
Choose shade or color/OK
Create table of contents
Click on notebook like paper button on toolbar
Click and drag box for size
Choose number of columns/rows/style of table
Click on table and column and type in next
